Majority of my day is spent with headphones streaming music into my ears - while I work, while I travel and also often times when I am at home. With summer quickly approaching, moods improve,days get longer and BBQ invites become more frequent - so be sure to have an app or two on your phone for music incase anyone needs an impromptu DJ, or just to fade away to music by yourself in the sun.
Apple Music
Apple Music is definitely my fave.
Along with notifications when new music is added, this app allows you to download albums quickly, and lets you play them even when you aren't connected to wifi.
Cost - $9.99 a month for unlimited downloads and streaming
Spotify
A close second fave, Spotify offers a paid and unpaid version.
Browse through millions of songs, search and select specific artists, create, browse and save, playlists and create a list of favourites for future use.
The paid version lets you download, save and stream music advertisement free each month. The unpaid version allows you to save playlists you like for easy access later on, but music is interrupted each half hour with an ad.
Once you create a Spotify account, you can listen on your phone, laptop, tablet and even in your car.

Shazam
This free application offered by Shazam,
Hear something familiar but can't remember the title? Heard something new and need to know the title so you can download later? Shazam is the app for that.
When you record a bit of the song, the app searches for the title, artist and album info, as well as provides you with an option to view lyrics and artist biographies.

YouTube
You can always count on your favourite song, video or playlist - along with a few covers, being available on YouTube.
Free and simple to use, YouTube lets you browse and click, to enjoy a wide selection of music in the form of playlists, videos, singles and albums whenever you want.
Cost - free, anytime, anywhere.
