Support for Local Artists

• Written by: Jennifer on October 28, 2011

We love the creative process and we are very enthusiastic about supporting the local art culture.  We celebrate the great work done by Art Allies to help provide artists a place and a platform to make their art more accessible to the people within the community.

The 2011 Central Art walk was supported by Angie's Kitchen, The Museum and Mad Hatter Technology.  People in the community took to the downtown streets of Waterloo region to share in the collection of the work of local artists.  Artists gathered and joined together to organize walking tours through their studios.

In the spirit of celebration, we created we threw a Mad Hatter Tea Party and at the end of the walk, people could kick up their feet, and enjoy some long island, green or iced tea and warm themselves up with some warm food from Angie's Kitchen.  Art supplies were on hand and with a little coaxing people started to play with the possibilities of creating art and release their creative side.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the Central Art Walk a great success.
