Most major search engines prepare for certain search requests ahead of time using a technique called indexing. They need to index millions of pages which means that their crawlers need to evaluate your entire site in a small fraction of seconds. The only sources on a website that can be quickly read are the html files and the style sheet files.

Buzzing About the HIVE

I had an interesting phone conversation with a supplier today.  I was trying to get information about the export file formats that their software supported because I was thinking of using their software to load kitchen designs into the Christie Digital 3D Interactive Visual Environment that is available for rent at the Communitech HUB.  It's called the HIVE.

With the advances we've had in technology, the marketing landscape has been transformed into a creative playground.  New interfaces, new paradigms and new opportunities to really make an impact on your customers. The Old Spice Guy campaign went viral and pushed the envelope of advertising by opening up an interactive dialog with customers.  They had the Old Spice guy responding to tweets and uploading video responses to questions from Twitter on YouTube and they cross-posted to the Facebook page.
